Week2 - Life drawing

This was my first time doing life drawing so I was a bit worried about how I'd do, but it went better than I expected.

 20min, pencil

Considering this was the first drawing it's not too bad, but immediately after finishing I've noticed how disproportionate it is, especially the legs. I've spent too much time on details such as hands and then I didn't have enough time to fix more important things.

left to right: 2,5min, 5min, 10min, pencil

The 10min one was manageable, not my best work, but could've been worse. The worst of the three was probably the 5min one as I've changed the proportions like 3 times and they were always wrong.

15min, pencil, blind drawing

Blind drawings are always fun because I know the result will be bad so there is no pressure to get anything right.

15min, charcoal, semi-blind

Composition definitely could've been better in this one. I was worried it wouldn't fit and it ended up being too small. I've also squished her a bit, resulting in some things not fitting.

10min, charcoal, liner, gold sharpie

I'm not too happy with this one. I almost forgot to change mediums and her legs are way off.

20min, charcoal, non-dominant hand

I do try to draw with my right hand from time to time so this wasn't too challenging, but it felt unnatural anyway. I should've made her smaller so her legs would fit on the page, but it could've been worse.

30min, pencil, charcoal

Even though this should be the best drawing I feel like it could've been better than this. I wanted to use charcoal for her hair but spent so much time shading her back I didn't have time to finish it and now it looks like some unfinished scribble.
